Where Is Here – 부활

The legendary South Korean rock band Boohwal has unveiled [Where Is Here], the first part of their 14th studio album celebrating their 40th anniversary. This release marks the long-awaited continuation of their discography after a 14-year hiatus since their 13th album in 2012. Leader Kim Tae-won expressed his longing to return to the fading purity of the past, narrating the story through the innocent emotions inspired by the animation 'SNOW MAN.' The title track, "Wind in the Sails (돛에 부는 바람)," depicts a soul's voyage back home amidst a heart-wrenching life journey, anchored by Park Wan-kyu's deeply resonant and emotional vocals. The album also features "Melting in Flowers (꽃에 녹는다)," an instrumental track filled with Kim Tae-won's poignant memories, alongside a reinterpretation of "Flower" and "Landscape." Notably, it includes a remake of "In Heaven (천국에서)" by the late Shin Hae-chul, a previously unreleased track from 1996 that adds profound significance to the collection. The music video, directed by John H. Lee (Lee Jae-han), visually captures the hopeful message of the song through a beautiful journey toward one's origins.
